Five reads that will help you do better business

Let’s be clear – these are NOT self-help books! These are books we’ve read (or audio books we have listened to) that left us with a better understanding of leadership, strategy, mind set or confidence.

If you’re looking for a business book, this is the post for you!

Here are our five favourites…

– “Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action” by Simon Sinek

A book that answers one fundamental question. Why! Why do some businesses become more successful, profitable and encourage greater loyalty than others?

– “Atomic Habits” by James Clear

A practical read that encourages you to make habitual improvements every day. With four million copies sold worldwide, this bestseller is the title that can change your day-to-day life.

– “Lead from the Outside” by Stacey Abrams

A handbook for the outsiders – Lead From The Outside is the your guide to modern leadership, giving practical advice on the who and the how.

– “Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead” by Brené Brown

You can’t escape Brene Brown, she’s sold millions of books, hosts an award winning podcast and her Ted Talks have tens of millions of views.

Her quiet wisdom and research led approach to leadership is a favourite of business leaders world wide.

– “The Psychology of Money: Timeless lessons on wealth, greed, and happiness” by Morgan Housel

An interesting read for those of us in the world of Wealth Planning, the Psychology of Money examines our real-world financial behaviours – away from budget spreadsheets. This book looks at the differences between our financial goals and our spending, and how each is influenced.
