Our client is currently looking for a senior paraplanner to join their growing team. This position presents a great opportunity for any technical paraplanner who enjoys working very closely with advisers and acting as a main point of contact for their clients, whilst also providing technical product research and suitability report writing support. The role of senior paraplanner within this company will involve working particularly closely with one of the directors, as well as acting as a mentor and team leader for the two junior paraplanners.

This role would suit anyone looking for a varied role and some extra responsibility to really make a difference to this business. You would ideally have approved the level 4 diploma status (or equivalent), however, candidates working towards this will be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to IFA’s including product research (investment; pension; life assurance; protection); investment fund performance
  • Preparation of Suitability Letters and Client Reports
  • Preparation of regular Valuation Reports for investment clients
  • Liaising between clients and IFA’s as appropriate (where advice is required)
  • Mentoring junior candidates, and managing workflow to support the 3 advisers in the business.

Requirements:

  • Sound technical knowledge of investments, pensions, and protection.
  • Ideally Diploma qualified (or equivalent), or willingness to undertake relevant industry examinations
  • Attention to detail; able to work to deadlines; thoroughness
  • Good telephone manner
  • Client confidentiality
  • Friendly disposition with clients, work colleagues and business contacts.
  • Knowledge of research and support programmes including Aequos; IRESS; provider websites; general use of Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ideally experience with Intelligent Office.
  • Use of technical websites including GOV.UK; DWP; HM Treasury; FCA
  • Adherence to FCA, Data Protection and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
