Job Title: Paraplanner

Location: Hackney, London

Salary: £28,000 – £40,000 Dependent on experience

Are you a paraplanner looking for their next challenge or perhaps someone who would relish the opportunity to join a new business and help be part of the growth process.

Are you ready to advance your professional status and qualifications to bring you closer to a lucrative new position?

Then this opportunity could be the one for you.

Our client, who is working with our agency exclusively for their next hire, is an incredibly successful IFA with a healthy client bank, branching away from their current position in Hungerford, to set up their business in Hackney. The IFA has built up a highly successful client bank, and will soon be taking over another large bank of high net worth clients as well, and so, therefore, has decided to make the move to London, and continue to grow and expand. He has secured one administrator to concentrate on the mortgage side of the business, and He is now looking to hire an individual that would be keen to work alongside him and help to grow the business even further. At first, this support to the adviser will involve providing exceptional administrative, client servicing, and paraplanning support, and as the business grows, a further administrator will be brought in and this role will become a pure paraplanning position.

But, for the time being, it is a varied role with many aspects. This role is one that could suit either a Junior Paraplanner looking for their next challenge and eager to build skills and knowledge through to full paraplanning, or perhaps a seasoned paraplanner, who enjoys variety and would relish the challenge of being a pinnacle part of a new businesses success.

The successful candidate must be either Diploma qualified, or equivalent, or working towards this.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Assess new client’s objectives and carry out research to identify suitable solutions to meet client’s needs in line with an adviser’s recommendations and requests.
  • Discuss cases with adviser and pro-actively update the adviser throughout.
  • Carry out financial analysis to draft recommendation reports/letters for review and sign off by the advisers.
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting
  • Prepare all relevant paperwork for client meetings.
  • Prepare and compile financial analysis.
  • Keep up to date with legislation.
  • Ensure thorough knowledge of product research and analytical tools.
  • An understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to financial services clients.

Training and development for any juniors wishing to expand their paraplanner duties can also be achieved here, as you will be working closely with the adviser, who is keen to train and mentor.

The role comes with some lovely benefits such as the following:

Fantastic working atmosphere/team – the client and new administrator are wonderful to work with and its a supportive, vibrant work environment.

Great location – located right by London fields tube station, the company are set up in an office within plush shared office space in hackney, so although small, it feels very social due to the communal areas shared with other businesses.
